NBC’s Sunday Night Football

SNF

NBC will unveil the regular season’s “Sunday Night Football” (Wikipedia Link) this weekend.

The game will be preceded by a studio show titled, “Football Night in America” and will feature Bob Costas, Cris Collinsworth, Sterling Sharpe, Jerome Bettis, and Peter King. Andrea Kremer will also contribute to the studio show from the field. The format will shift to “flexible scheduling” in the middle of the year to insure that broadcast is protected from picking horrible games late in the year, a problem that has plagued Monday Night Football in recent years.

You can check out the new NBC Sunday Night Football anthem and more multimedia by clicking to the official website of SNF. Additionally, Deadspin has some more at this link.

I like the music (which was composed by John Williams). It has a little bit of the old NFL Films sound to it.

great site! Sunday Night Football is really gonna dominate over MNF this year I would think. I don’t think that ESPN’s production of the games is on par with what ABC had last year, and what I have seen from NBC this year.

Monday nights are pretty stacked with great shows this year… just another reason I think MNF may struggle more than SNF, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see. For me at least, it really depends on the matchups.

^It’s always been all about the match-ups. The talent is just an added bonus, or a minor subtraction. Heck, there’s always the mute button. I watch to see the games. As an NFL fan, I’ve always enjoyed Sunday and Monday Night Football. My set is always tuned in.
