D*#&^$ Second Guesses Cowher

There is one thing that you have to hand Gregg #($*^$ – no matter how stupid he may sound, he does not hesitate to write things that embarass him.

I know that we don’t like to link to @&*#. Obviously, we won’t even say his name. But, to completely ignore him isn’t all that much fun.

Today, #*&# has decided that he knows more about football and about the Pittsburgh Steelers than Bill Cowher, defending Super Bowl champ and one of the most successful coaches of the last 15 years. (Link)

In a nutshell, Cowher is being second-guessed by more than just Doyel right now for bringing Big Ben Roethlisberger back from his appendectomy too soon and costing the Steelers the last two games – agianst two of the five best teams in the AFC (as if there was a guarantee than Charlie Batch would have been able to win the last two games). There is no doubt that Roethlisberger’s Stone-like decision to throw an unnecessary interception into the end zone on Sunday hurt the Steelers…but, big deal?!

Heat right now should go to Cowher, who had the bright idea of starting Roethlisberger at Jacksonville 15 days after the appendectomy and one week after Batch’s efficient 28-17 season-opening victory against Miami. On Sunday it was Cowher’s idea to send out Colclough in difficult conditions for a fourth-quarter punt deep in Pittsburgh territory. Santonio Holmes is the Steelers return man on kicks closest to the end zone, but Cowher called on Colclough, whose appearance — before the fumble — elicited groans from Pittsburgh media members who had watched him struggle through camp.

When the media knows a team’s personnel better than the coach, that’s a problem.

I can’t even type it hurts so much to think about all those geeks and fat asses “knowing the Pittsburgh Steelers personnel better than Bill Cowher.”

Bill Cowher has his reasons for running the Pittsburgh Steelers in the manner that he does. His decade and half track record indicates that he knows exactly what he is doing. The concept of “heat” on Bill Cowher in Pittsburgh is absurd.

Kudos for him for at least coming out and saying it. Most of the time these jerks just act like they know more than the coaches they just don’t say it.

Dog$h!t D0y3l just figured out that the Steelers have some of the most intense fans in the nation. Just like the Pack. In other words, he is guaranteed to receive lots of attention from the fan base. He will receive a lot more attention from the Steelers fan base than if he had insulted say, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (no disrespect to TB).

Simple. Cowher went to NC State, therefore he’s a target of Doyle. Watch for future “Mario’s a Bust” and “Holt getting old” stories in the future.

Thats right Trout, and if it comes out that Peppers is and was a steroid freak in the next couple of years, he wont say a word about it.
BTW- did anyone see Dre Bly of the Lions get abused on that TD play?

no disrespect to the Panthers (or Peppers) in the above post^^^ just stating what alot of people think, and may or may not come to fruition

1-2 is not an impossible position to rebound from. After all, the Steelers won the Super Bowl last year from a wildcard berth.

But don’t let three games out of sixteen prevent a sportswriter from inking an epitaph.

One thing’s for sure. Cowher is not feeling any heat from the Rooneys. I didn’t see the Broncos let Shanahan go after his two time Super Bowl champs went 5-11. I don’t see the Steelers going 5-11, but even if they did, Cowher is safe as long he wants to stay.

Or 3 games out of 12. The Chipper must be in a funk over at the Boos & Disturber.
