$500 for…what?

Wolfpack fans can buy &/or renew season basketball tickets for the 2006-2007 season at Gopack.com. Interestingly, NO SCHEDULE for the 2006-2007 season has been released as of yet. (Click here for an informative, related conversation about what we do know of the schedule.)

Not to be overly critical here…but, isn’t this a curious situation? Have you ever bought tickets to a movie and not known what movie you were going to see? Ever paid for a meal before ordering? We just don’t get it.

On the positive side – the 7-page basketball brochure that is linked at GoPack.com looks great!

Kinda scary. Mayhaps Quentin isn’t getting a lot of takers from amongst the teams we want to play, so a Herb-like schedule may be in our near future.

No. NC State shouldn’t be criticized for not releasing the schedule as of yet…because the ACC releases the whole conference’s schedule (soon).

It is the desire to get a hold of your money as early as humanly possible that is the problem here.

For a lot of us, it doesn’t matter who is on the schedule b/c with lifetime rights, we have to buy the tickets.

Also, one of the articles written about Quentin some time back said the schedule was 95% complete. That’s why I don’t understand the “doom and gloom” predictions. Win the easy OOC games, possibly win 7to9 ACC games, and we are back in the tournament…squeezing in just like we have for the past 5 years.

Welcome to the world of LTRs. Dont we essentially pay each year no matter what teams are on the schedule or the quality of the team?

State’s schedule never seems to leak out in as much detail as Carolina, WFU and Dook. That said, I think we know the following (mostly rehashing the scheduling entry):

    11/17 Delaware State
    11/24 Gardner Webb
    11/27 Michigan
01/20 Dook — I picked up Dook’s schedule from IC (posted below in case anyone is curious)

TBA @ WVU (Charleston) — that is listed on WVU’s hoops schedule at westvirginia.scout.com

You get to watch a basketball game in the RBC without Herb Sendeck in the building. That’s more than worth the price of admission this year and we did not even have to buy out his contract.
