It is always good news when NC State beats Carolina in anything. Particularly in light of the recent performance on Lee Fowler’s entire Athletics Department against the Heels.
After the woman’s softball team sweept the #2 seeded Tarheels en route to the department’s first ACC Championship in the last few years, the men’s baseball team decided to keep the momentum going. The Pack Nine downed the Tarheels yesterday in the first round of the ACC Tournament.
7th seeded NC State will battle #3 Virginia in the winner’s bracket Thursday at 4pm. You can follow the entire Tournament by clicking here.
For the ACC season, NC State finished one spot ahead of Wake Forest. Duke finished the season at the bottom of the ACC and was so bad that they failed to qualify for the ACC Tournament format. (Big Four Round-up)
