Tommy Burleson Says it is “Time for a Change”

Tommy Burleson was on Triangle Sports Talk 1090 AM this morning and said that he thought “there needs to be a change at this point in time”. It would be interesting to know what DT felt about the situation.

Another possible new home for Herb has just opened: Iowa State. They need someone with a squeeky clean image and boy do I have the fellow for them.

Can I get Tommy B for AD at NCSU PLEASE!!!!!
He hit it right on the head. Herbs a great guy but it’s time for a change. Look at what is assistance have gone and done. For one example Sean Miller second or third season at Xavier and he wins the conference Tourny. To me that shows that Herb is not doing the coaching his assistants are. Pay them the Millions and not the head coach if thats the case. I Like Tommy’s idea of DT or Rick Barnes as a replacment. But he’s right, if we want a top notch program again with top notch coaches then it is going to take a lot of $$$$$. If we can put all the Millions in a mediocre(sp) football coach and program we should at least do the same to try and become a top notch B-ball program again.

TB is a great player, and a great state fan, but why don’t we find someone that is proven to be able to manage a athletics program and not just dominate on the basketball court? I mean, that’s what he’ll be doing.

And great players don’t always make great coaches

TPack that is true but Rick Barnes was not a great player compared to DT so he would be my first choice if you don’t want a former player. He would leave Texas to come to State because his wife grew up here and I would love to have him or anyone like him that hates unc and anything to do with that program. As far as TB being AD I think he could do it but helk people thought that Lee Fowler could too. Who would you suggest we get as our AD because as long as Fowler is there we might as well get comfortable with Herb and Chuck. I can see giving Chuck a few more years at the helm but not Herb.
