Pirate Captain Heading into Rough Waters

I haven’t been following the plight of this joker this year, but found this interesting.

Can anyone give us an educated view of what is happening on campus and with the Student Government?

The last time the Student Govt. Impeached it was the Student Body President, Senate President and a few others in 83 or 84. It takes 2/3 to convict and remove – very difficult for that to happen. I’m suprised Student Development has not stepped in.

The “Erich Fabricius” quoted in the article was my year in my major…and I graduated in 03. Maybe he’s in grad school. In any case, his social skills were on the level of Milton from Office Space.

If it weren’t true I’d swear it was a parody.

Get ready for the inevitable “walk the plank” jokes….

    Hey TVP,
From the article: “Sen. Erich Fabricius, a master’s student in economics,”

i bet all those republican larvae have been itching to do this since they saw monica-gate. ever since daddy got laid off from cisco in 01 they’ve been waiting to release their repressed anger! get that nonconformist!

Looks like eric’s the one who should lay off the michaelmoore.com daily feeds. Put your Chris Matthews poster back in the closet and leave the politics at home. The senate democrats are the ones making the fuss.

i stand corrected for my knee jerk reaction. but at that level, the politics don’t really matter. i’m trying to point out the uptightedness of the senators. i should have made my point better.

i did not mean to troll, but there’s no reason to “leave the politics at home”. the original post is all about politics after all, and whoever runs this site felt it was worthy of discussion and comments. i’m a democrat but i don’t like michael moore (it IS possible). My agreement with Demos on social issues and war policy happens to override my agreement with repubs on other ones, like energy policy, trade and environmental rules.

I guess instead of “leave the politics at home”, I should have said, “I don’t care for your personal rants.” I respect your political opinion though. BTW, I’m a republican but i don’t like Bush (its also possible) or our current energy policy (the answer is alternative energy not more oil).
Back to the topic, I’d also love for someone to ‘give us an educated view of what is happening on campus and with the Student Government’. The article doesn’t mention what it is this pirate guy did or didn’t do thats so unacceptable. If he’s just getting drunk and wearing pirate gear a lot I don’t see grounds for impreachment.

Go to thepiratecaptain.com and read the Captain’s Log for his side of it. Seems he thought the senate was going to show up for a food collection drive and they didn’t, and the senators said they weren’t informed about it. But my piratespeak is a little rusty, it may be something else entirely.
