To fully flesh that out, you might want to add the rankings or records of the teams at the time. That will shed some light on the bad overtime wins such as Clemson this year and Clemson in 98 – games that should have never gone into overtime.

The recurring theme is we just don’t seem to have a plan for these situations.
Or if we do, the plan is NEVER executed. The BC game being a prime example.
I could accept losing alot easier if I were to see a coherent strategy carried out but I’m still waiting after 9+ years!

If that idiot Mike Tyson could figure it out certainly Carnegie-Mellonhead should. You have a Plan A and when the other guy hits you in the mouth and takes away that option you revert to your Plan B. I wish I had the cost of a ticket for every time I’ve seen us blow a end of the half, game or overtime situation.

Note: NCSU scored ONE POINT in the second overtime period. We can talk about that poorly executed, poorly designed, completely telegraphed final play all we want but that would have not been relevant if our team had put in just a few meager points. How many times this season has this team went on long scoring droughts? Overtime is a bad place for this very consistent Wolfpack tendency.

One thing that stands out to me is that we have never won an overtime game at the RBC. Our last 3 overtime wins were on the road. I’m not sure where the 97 & 98 wins were played; at Reynolds or on the road.
