StateFans Nation Guest Blogs

We’ve told you before that BC Eagle in Atlanta runs one of the best blogs around.

Earlier this week, EagleinAtlanta was kind enough to ask us to participate in an exchange of guest blogging.

Jeff’s answers to Eagle’s questions are now up on the site. Great work, Jeff!

Will you be asking questions of them? This is a great idea.

I tried to post a comment on the BC site, but it was just too difficult to get registered…..so here’s my thoughts:

Good summary by JB, but I am going to have to disagree about the LB’s. State has some individually good/great LB’s, but I don’t think that the LB’s in total are anywhere near as good as in year’s past. Mostly I say that because of the inexperienced depth at LB.

By the end of the GT game, a relatively weak offense was putting up long, sustained drives. One camera shot showed a State player (Tulloch?) huffing and puffing as GT was in the huddle. Was this an isolated incident or do the LB’s wear down as the game goes on? I guess we’ll get another piece of the puzzle Sat night.

^ Can’t disagree with all of that. I agree that the linebackers aren’t as good as last year….BUT, in comparison to what the experts were saying in the preseason, I feel like our LBs have positively answered the question marks that were put on them.

Long drive vs GT — true. But, in the end, they only got 14 points for the whole game with a team that includes that nation’s best wide receiver. I’ll take it.
