In addition to the big conversation around the 2005-2006 NC State Basketball season, the Wolfpack has had a couple of other recent mentions in the national press.
* The Courtmaster calls Ilian Evtimov one of the most indispensible players in the ACC.
Few players in the nation are more suited to their team’s style of play than Evtimov is to the Wolfpack’s Princeton offense. He is a forward whose hang time would only be measured by how much he hangs around the practice gym. Evtimov does possess a sweet jumper, is a good ball-handler, and knows how to play the game. Not only was Evtimov on fire from three-point range much of last season, he led NC State in charges taken and was second in passes deflected. He will need to take on more of the mantle of leadership for the Pack to have a successful season
* Cedric Simmons got the honor of having his picture front & center on FoxSports.com front page on Sunday night and was featured as one of the 20 Players You Should Know for the coming basketball season.
