I was at a wedding last night, but I called my sister for updates, and she said it wasn’t pretty. I did tape the game – dare I watch it?

Should title be “Pack” or “BacK” ?

Anyway BJD, don’t watch, I’ll summarize.

Pack gets up 10-0 early on fluke bomb and fumble that sets up FG. From then on, we had like 30 yards of total offense.

Don’t bother. The first 8 minutes were enjoyable, but the rest was excruciating. The O-line was like swiss cheese. That Kiwanuka guy proved he should be taken ahead of Mario Williams in the draft. Stone was pretty bad, but he was harassed all night long. Jay Davis looked relieved that he didn’t have to take the beating. Andre Brown looked human. I can’t think of many positives to take from the game. We looked soft in the cold weather. We had heaters and long sleeves while BC had none of that stuff. Weak showing if you ask me, but if you like being tortured, go ahead and give the game a looksee.

Awful……we may beat Md and finish 6-5, but in all honesty, we do not deserve a bowl bid. Only highlights of the weekend were UNC going down in a game they should have won and Spurrier beating Florida.

I have a hard time with comments like “don’t deserve a bowl bid”. By what standard? IMHO, that is for the bowls to decide. If we finish 6-5…odds are the bowls will determine that we don’t ‘deserve’ a bid because there will be anough other teams who are bowl eligible.

Mike’s point is well taken. Our 6-5 record will only include three wins in conference, 3 horrible non-conference wins AT HOME and I just can’t imagine those two factors would ever make any bowl committee lick their lips with excitement. We still could make a bowl game because our hype machine is in full farce-force. Did you know that Chuck’s sunglasses are up for the Ray Reeves Award this year?

Look for MD to use the same defensive plan MD did – stack the line, make MS beat us with the pass.

Other than the game, the trip to Boston was great.

Trout, add to it “make the woeful OL and Marcus Stone scramble to beat us with the pass” and you’re definitely onto something.

For the life of me, I could not understand why there weren’t moe designed rollout plays called to buy Stone a step or two to deliver the ball.

That is pretty much the same thing we did for BC, which worked until AJ got burnt like a piece of toast by Blackmon…. over and over and over again.
