Last 5 Home Wins

I just want to put in perspective how bad we have been playing at CF. 40 % of the games Rivers was the QB.

Eastern Kentucky 9/17/05
Wake Forest (OT) 10/2/04
Richmond 9/4/04
Virginia 11/1/03

NOW THAT’S NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP MATERIAL! IT’S HARD TO BEAT ANYONE IF YOU HAVE ONLY A DEFENSE.

I have the plan. Most of the wins in the Rivers era are because of Rivers, and in spite of the coaching staff, including several games coaching cost us directly. Has anyone checked out Wakefield High School? Seems some coach moved up here from Alabama a few years ago and built this team from scratch. This coach built the team to a playoff team, took a year off and the team did not make the playoffs, and came back this year to lead the team to a 9-0 start. Oh yeah, the coach from Alabama – Steve Rivers. Does anyone have rights to http://www.firechuckhirerivers.com?

I can’t say that I haven’t wondered if Steve Rivers wouldn’t be a potential assistant college football coach.

I was not serious in saying Steve Rivers should be a head coach – tongue in cheek. However, as an OC I have every belief he would be very qualified and would be a welcome addition. Philip learned somewhere, and this opinion is Philip’s abilities are enhanced by his knowledge more than his physical attributes.

Add another to the list — based on the 2/season history, it would seem I could start making new plans for my Saturday afternoons.
