I don’t even know where to begin. You can read “Coach” Fowler’s letter by clicking here.

Well, well I guess the joke’s on the fans.

Fowler is an idiot for thinking that all of the fans that spend a considerable amount of $$ on tickets do not have the right to boo their team. We can and will boo our team for the rest of the season and no amount of letters “coach fowler” can send out will make a difference. Trust me NCSU fans are smart and very supportive when it comes to football but no one can tell me with a straight face that we do have the right to boo our team after a season and a half of horrible football. It is because of this stance the department has taken that I am seriously considering saving myself the money and not buying season tickets next year. I understand that we are building a program and we can have setbacks, but with all of the BS that comes our of Amato’s mouth and Fowler’s about how we have to support this team and blah, blah , blah, how can no one seem to come out and say “hey we are a horrible football team and some players are going to pay for it and be put on the bench”. I really cannot wait to hear Chuck talk this week about the loss. Everyone assumes we have this great talent, I beg to differ talent in my book is a combination of smarts and physical ability. We can’t seem to ever put that together for any game. Move over Coach Roof and Coach Bunting, Chuck is easily claiming the worst coach in the ACC trophy for 2005.

Charlie & Lee as guess both of you are in full support of
all we have witnessed our football team do this season on
the field! Being the most penalized team in the confernece.
Pushing and confronting coaches on the sideline. Oh and
by the way, how much time is spent practicing the pregame
dance in the tunnel? Can I get a copy of the steps to the
    dance?

    Well I am totally embarrassed!!!

The pregame music is so loud one cannot even talk to his
neighbor. The language in the music really expresses our
team and school to a high degree. I hope you can get a copy
of Thursday nights jumbotron’s music & video. If you are
not embarrassed then I think we have found the problem!!!

Is it to much to expect from a 25 yr. Wolfpack Club member,
25 yr Alumni member, parent with a So. at State and a high
school Sr. wanting to go to State to just want to see good
football? I do not need the “show”, The loud music or all
commercials on the jumbotron. I would like to see good
football. Notice that I did not say an undefeated football
team. I can deal with the loosing as long as I am not
totally embarrassed by the performance and actions of our
    players.

Come on now….is all the music and player dancing helping
our team play better football? I would rather hear about
our players and the acadmeic performance…or is this not
    important.

Is it to much to ask that the scholarship players represent
themselves and our school respectfully? What is going on
at college inn? Do you even know? Suggest you look into it.

I don’t care for the loud “music” coming from the jumbotron
either, but I could tolerate it a lot better if our game was
good. When we make a big deal of showing a video of the Wolf
beating up on a ram or a tiger, dancing in the tunnel, and then
sucking in practically every aspect on the field, it’s
embarrassing as hell. I’ve paid enough money for my seats to
boo Amato as often as I damn well please. Fowler doesn’t listen
or care what I think, or what other alums/contributors think, so
why should we pay any attention to him?

I don’t know which is worse the pre-game intro, or that pre-game cartoon.
The cartoon is more embarrassing than our play.

At least here at StateFans Nation people can have an honest expression
about the sorry state of things over the last 15 years in our athletic
department-Fowler uses false stats to cover his ass-we didn’t have real
teams before WWII and played at the level of Division II school for all
practical purposes-we only began to compete in the 1950’s from 1954 to
1991 were competitive in all three major sports with ACC football titles
in 1957, 1965 and three in the 70’s. All that is gone now and the crap
the last 15 years is added to the false records of from 1900 to 1945
to make it look like the last 15 years are the norm.

^ Definitely…the cartoon is worse. Not by much….but when you think of the great
traditions that some schools have….Howard’s Rock…..planting the flaming spear at FSU…
the cartoon is definitely the most embarassing of the two.

I was amused at the pleas of Fowler during his letter. I recalled my high school Algebra II teacher who used to plead with us to learn factoring and trigonometry. “Come on, Guys; please remember your orders of operation” has now been replaced with “Come on, Guys; this team is better than the teams three years ago.” How pathetic! I also find it amusing that Fowler cares to address the FANS about their reactions to a sorry football team as opposed to addressing the PROBLEMS WITH THE HEAD COACH AND COACHING STAFF, which may do more good. Sorry, Lee. Considering that it was THE FANS and not CHUCK AMATO who gave you the Murphy Center, Vaughn Towers and the renovated stadium, don’t come looking to us to support a coach who has taken a mediocre team, had a mediocre record with that team, AND IS STILL MEDIOCRE! That won’t cut it. And trust me, all of the fans should seriously consider putting one more dime into a season ticket, a luxury box, a parking pass, until they are assured that the team on the field warrants it. This program more and more looks like a pig in a tuxedo. Regardless of the dress, it is still wallowing in its own feces. Sorry, Lee. After this debacle, you should be looking for another job along with your football coach.

Apparently the peter principle goes farther than the football coach at NCSU. A real AD would never think, let alone put in print, the plea “Coach” Fowler published. NCSU may as well prepare for the football equivalent of the Bataan
death march for the remainder of this adminstration!
