The Mood of the Team is “Wolfpack fantastic”

Wierd comment by Amato today during the PC:

What has the mood of team been like this week?
Fantastic… in fact, Wolfpack fantastic and there is a difference.

What is the difference between fantastic and Wolfpack fantastic?
The word Wolf! Wolfpack… and that’s not hard to figure out.

Actually that comment was directed at the N&O b/c when amato said he didn’t care about the “fans” he went on to say they
    weren’t “wolfpack” fans…

Interesting. We learn more and more about their hatchet job the other day.

Don’t get me wrong…Chuck needs to be very careful about the positions that he puts himself into….but, you just knew that there was more to that “interview” the other day.

Agreed with points 1 and 2. I still say that the N&O should publish the entire interview in order to better establish the context.

Amato handled it poorly, without doubt. But I still smell an ambush, and the N&O’s selective editing. Personally, I think that it demonstrates a bias, although saying so will put one in the so-called “lunatic fringe.”

Finally, do you really expect Amato to paint any other picture of the state of mind of the team? Even if it was the case, he’d be quite unlikely to ever say that the team is down. That would just get the Yellow Jackets stingers bared.

It should be plain to see by now that the N&O sports department has very little creditability. Remember last spring with the whole Chris Paul RBC center incident, claiming fans were chanting awful things. Also remember the N&O writer that voted for Louisville in the top-25 poll not because they are the best team, but because their schedule is easy. Now we have this weird mysterious interview with Chuck that I even saw a link to on the Bill Simmons (espn.com writer) webpage. Either Chuck is now experimenting with drugs right before interviews or the N&O is up to their old sneaky reporting trying to create as much drama as possible and very little truth. You decide.
