Don’t touch the Chief…
This came to me on an email earlier today, and I see that it’s being discussed elsewhere. For any of you who don’t frequent other sites, I didn’t want you to miss out on this gem.

Woody has that typical Tar Heel trait that they just assume you want them in your space. They assume whatever they have to say is worthy of you listening to whether you think so or not. Or maybe Woody has learned over time that the only way for him to maintain an audience is to literally hold onto the person. Or based on this conversation, maybe Woody just “likes” him. You silly little Tar Heels.

Firefox on the Mac it plays the video without any of the controls or time display, and there’s no background on the page. With Safari it shows the background on the page but a completely different video. Odd.
It’s hard to see because his hand is off camera but apparently Woody is touching Butch the whole time until finally he has enough and brushes him off. It’s kinda funny but I can’t really say I blame him. Ha ha.

As someone who’s been to the mountaintop, I wonder how often Davis gets frustrated with coaching in an irrelevant place. I know UNC’s checks cash as well as anybody’s, but it has to be especially frustrating after a loss on Saturday afternoon when you’re consumed by the ultimate futility of it all.
I guess coaching the Browns was good practice.
IS this the right video? I was watching it on Safari on a Mac. I never saw any touching. Watching this perpetual boosterism got to me though.
No issues viewing it on Internet Exployer. You can clearly see Woody touchie feely with Butch at the begining of the interview touching his shoulder. Butch reaction is a classic.

Phillypacker… Firefox (some versions) take you to an entire episode of the UNC Football Show. The link in Internet Explorer and the others above takes you to the “right” video which begins as a clip… “Coach’s Corner”. It’s at the 26 second mark. If you don’t have a timer on the video, start counting. Look on the far left of the screen and you’ll see Butch give a pretty violent shrug that *should* be accompanied by a “get your f’n hands off me, son!”

I’ve got Firefox 3.5.3. Worked fine. That shrug off is awesome!
With all due respect, TOB doesn’t strike me as a touchy feely person either, and if Gary Hahn tried to pull that, he’d get the same reaction.
89, I think this is more laughing at Woody than Davis.
Does any man like to be touched by another man while he’s talking to him? I despise it when people lean into my personal space, much less actually make contact with me. A manly pat on the back or even a hug is acceptable in some situations, but once we *immediately* part don’t grope me while you’re talking to me.
