Cowherd: UVA Football

Tip of the hat to a poster on Pack Pride’s premium message board. The graphics in this thing are hilarious! You could replace “UVA” with “UNC” in this and one would never know the difference.

Please get this guy on XM! Who is it anyways? LOL

I dont like Cowherd, but he’s right about one thing:

Wearing suits to football games is an abomination. How emasculated do you have to be when you think its a good idea to dress up for football? SFN is on the money when this applies equal for UNC. I went to a game over there once and I thought I was walking into a 4H banquet. Not a football game.

That goes double for the pansies I see wearing suits to NC State games. You know who you are. I can tolerate it from the senior Wolfpackers. When your hair goes white, you can pull that off. Especially the old studs rocking the red sportcoat and the plaid pants. I wont ever be joining that club, but they pull it off somehow. But not you college kids. I dont care what your fraternity says. Do not do it. If the plaque on your door doesnt read “Head Coach” do not wear a tie to football games.

And that goes for chicks too. If you wear a fancy dress dont get mad when I spill smuggled beer and mustard all over it after NC State is flagged for a personal foul.

Instead of punching a UVA fan in the neck, how about just donkey punching a UNC Tar Hoe.

I’d go one step further and say that if you are wearing a belt, you are overdressed.

that was absolutely awesome…. I actually grew up in Charlottesville and walked to Scott Stadium and University Hall as a kid… I loved UVA. When we moved to Raleigh, I went to high school here then NC STATE. I realized how much UVA and UNC are alike. I now have a hatred for both. They are way too much alike. I now have a certain level of respect for Va Tach because of that.

Won’t be popular here, but as a lifelong State fan, alumnus, and a long time former season ticket holder at State, I’ve had season tickets at UVa for the last 3 yrs (the best chance to see my kids who are students there) and the tailgates I have been to at Scott are every bit the party they were at C-F. Kenan on the other hand isn’t much of a tailgate party IMO, and I didn’t see many ties on guys the last time I was there (2005) either.
And I don’t mind the guys at UVa with the ties on. They are partying just as hard as we did in the 70’s at State and I would rather see that then the thug look I’ve seen at a lot of schools lately – including UNC.
Too bad there hasn’t been much football played in C-F or Scott in a while, but you don’t have to slow down the party to actually go into the stadium these days.
