BC @ NC State Set for ESPN2 @ 8pm

BC@NCS

This is a nice piece of scheduling. (Link) Although it would be a lot nicer if you were allowed to get to your parking spot before the 3:30pm games kickoff; which you can’t because of the tailgating policy.

Should be a nice fall night, at least. Let’s hope it goes better than last year’s night game with the Eagles.

I would normally say something about a UNC/Furman game being listed on ESPNU, but as I glance on down I remember the boys in powder blue have a trip to South Bend scheduled for later on. Some kid will at have least a chance to see them playing a top program anyway. Let’s see, that will be about two weekends before we travel to Chapel Hill for one of our biggest games of the year. I wonder if they’ll be quaking in their boots, at home, while facing the Wolfpack, after that earlier trip Indiana? OCC scheduling??? What else can you say?

I wonder if the geniuses who dreamed up the tailgating policy will waive the rules for the Wake Forest game? That game is Oct 13 — the first weekend of the NC State Fair. Most folks who had tikcets would go early, go to the fair and then come back to the game. With all the traffic for both events, the State Fair and the game attendance could take hits. Late arrivals for the pack 1st quarter and non-attendance at the fair.

I like night games, so that isn’t a big deal for me. The tailgating rule, however, is garbage.

This will be the one game I can sit and watch (unless we make a acc title run) and the thrid BC game nationally televised in my state. I can’t wait to see a whole game and not just highlight worthy plays. This is a huge game for State, but looking back at the end of the season the time preparing for So. Miss. after the this past weekends heartbreak will probably be the defining moment for this version of Chucks Pack. I am excited about ACC play and want to see some team unity and a full 40 min. + of intensity. W and L will shake out as they may in a year of dismal looking football in the ACC, but progress towards the future has to become clear or Chuck is in some kind of pickle.

starting the ACC is almost like having a clean slate… we should really take advantage of that… I hope that idea is instilled in the teams mind.

I’m not even concerned about BC right now. We’ve got our hands full this weekend. At least it’ll be at night. If we have to get our asses handed to us, at least I won’t have to get sunburned while I watch it.
