WTVD Channel 11 (ABC) has updated their blog with the following breaking news regarding the potential candidacy of Mike Montgomery:
Cross Mike Montgomery off the list of prospective coaching candidates at NC State. I just spoke to his wife. She told me – and I quote – “There is nothing to report.” I asked her directly ‘So he’s not interested in the NC State job?’ She said again – “no”, then added “Good luck finding your coach.” That would stick a fork in those rumors – unless of course she’s a bald-faced liar, and I’m fairly positive that’s not the case. Lovely lady by the way.
We are going to refrain from any comment until the situation becomes more clear.
