Pack vs Eagles on Primetime

Tarheel Blue has announced that Carolina’s football game against Maryland has been set for Jefferson Pilot coverage at noon this Saturday.

This opens the door for NC State’s visit to Boston College to occupy ESPN2’s 7:15 time slot next weekend.

As of Sunday morning at 11am….a quick check of GoPack.com indicates absolutely nothing; the Wolfpack’s commercial website has nothing about next week’s game. (Just another example of Carolina’s superior internet presence compare to the way Wolfpack Sports Marketing runs the Wolfpack’s presence).

* Give credit to Pack Pride for letting Wolfpackers know that their program will be on television next week (even though you have pay for the right to read the article).

Next Saturday’s game against Boston College has been set for 7:15 and will be televised nationally on ESPN2.

Earlier this week ESPN declared a six-day option on two games for Nov. 12th. ESPN could select either Maryland at North Carolina or NC State at Boston College to be televised on ESPN2 with a 7:15 pm kickoff time. After today’s games, ESPN chose NC State at Boston College.

I agree fully. Their web site is not updated in a timely manner, and they could use a committed webmaster to make that it is.

On the other hand, they are “official” so they have to make 100% sure of something prior to it’s web publication. They probably also have a pretty thick bureaucracy, as Annabelle Vaughn and others are no doubt on an approval list prior to pretty much anything going live.

Pack Pride is pretty good at beating Go Pack, and to be honest, The Wolfpacker has improved to the point where they are even better than Pack Pride. This site is super for taking an honest viewpoint, and (humbly) mine does a fairly decent job as well.

Go Pack, all in all, is the trailing horse in the race. It’s a shame, and I would love to see it improve.

^ I agree with your comments, especially about the Wolfpackers recent resurgence.

This television thing is not something that should have taken any time to “become official” because it was understood even before yesterday’s game. In fact, JP’s choosing of Carolina comes AFTER ESPN2’s selection of State. So, there is no way that Tarheel Blue could be running their announcement unless ESPN2 had made their selection first.

Maybe when the GoPack folks come to work sometime on Monday we’ll see an update.

“Us” Tarheels are enjoying seeing that most of “wufpup nation” are truly “fair weather” fans. As for your resurgence……….you barely beat S. MISS and were lucky FSU has an offense that truly is incompetent. BC and Maryland will make the necessary adjustments to bring the boo-birds back to Carter FANTASY stadium…….

Yeah, Danny, we’re fairweather all right. All we do is fill Carter Finley every week. Why don’t you try and fill Kenan for ONE game in a row before you start talking smack??

Danny pulls for the right school as he apparently has the IQ of a doorknob.

^ Guys…just wanted to let you know that we won’t be having very many posts like Danny’s around here. An occassional post or two will be fun to keep our arguing skills properly honed….but, for the most part we will be editing moron comments.
