Volleyball Streak Ends!!!

Settle down, fans. Obviously, Lee Fowler knows what he is doing. If you need another slap of reality of how the “Fowler Way” generates “results through patience”, just take a look at the Wolfpack’s newly found success on the Volleyball court.

In just another fantastic example of Fowler-esque vindication, the NC State women’s volleyball team has ended its losing streak SEVENTY ONE CONSECUTIVE ACC matches extensding over three full seasons. That is right, patience has paid off, the and Wolfpack is now on the march to national prominence.

Don’t you know that you can’t have “sustainable” success by winning quickly? Don’t you know that there is a direct correllation to the amount of losing and suffering that you must experience with the amount of future success that you will reap? Don’t you understand all of the scientific data that exists to support the insightful presumption that if you win slowly, then when you finally succeed you will “win for a long time”? (Wait a second…am I talking about NC State’s revenue or non-revenue sports here?)

See what patience can get you!!! A victory!!! A victory that surely no other coach in the entire world could have earned!!! A victory that could have never been earned if it weren’t for the 71 previous consecutive losses!

Man, that Fowler is insightful.

For a great laugh…check out the story about the win on GoPack.com. If you didn’t know the situation, you would have never thought that a streak of any kind existed. Ho hum…the NC State women’s volleyball team just won a game. No big deal.

Doesn’t GoPack (or any “real media” outlet) owe its readers just a little bit of commitment to truth and telling the whole story? Does a four year conference losing streak NOT merit a mention in an article about the victory that snaps the losing streak? I guess GoPack thinks if they don’t mention it, then it never happened. Then again, GoPack often mentions some things that never happened in the first place.

Welcome to NC State Athletics.

Calling GoPack.com a “real media” outlet is a strech. It serves a propaganda arm of the NCSU Athletic’s Deparment run by Wolfpack Sports Marketing. I’m not sure why anyone would expect that entity to bring up any negative aspect of NCSU Athletics.

You’d expect them to bring up salient, relevant, factual points about NC State Athletics. Especially when you consider how pyschotic some of the people around there behave about protecting “the truth”

I knew there was a good reason for bringing Boston College into the league!

Someone already has that kind of site, just named something else.

Even though the season is going horribly bad right now, I think that you kind of have to wait just a week or two more before really having that conversation.

Save the $ for the site we’ll need it to buy out the contracts we are saddled with!

Gopack is part of WSM, which won the bid in an illegal no-bid contract (all state contracts are supposed to be bidded.) This I heard from a prominent lawyer in town, and wonder if there is anything to that.

the word on the street is that the “lee fowler show” was a kickback from wolfpack sports marketing to extend the WSM contact, and not open it up to bid

    ^ Classic!

So, WSM has a contract with a public university to own rights to Wolfpack Sports WITHOUT a public bid for those rights?

And, our AD…who plays a major role in the decision…just happened to get his own television show at the time?

But, WSM is doing such a diligent job!

It never ceases to amaze me.
