Before I vent, I gotta say …. Compared to the past few years, many of us at the start of the season would have considered the NIT a big step up. Now (providing the ACC ‘powers that be’ don’t convince the committee to further ‘put us in our place’), going to the dance is a reality, and who knows what happens when we get in. Much thanks to the team and coaches for your hard work and for providing us with a entertaining, exciting season. You’ve served notice to the nation that the Pack is Back!

That said, what we have going on with the refs is a reprehensible pattern of behavior, starting with Clougherty’s statement that UNC just doesn’t foul much, and that his refs study tendencies (so much for calling it as you see it), Corch and Googs getting tossed, the KH demonstration Thursday (HIGHLY unprofessional for men in the position of being judges); and now, not even counting the way this game was called, Dorsey’s comment to Gott. At the VERY least, Clougherty’s got to go … his refs are out of control, and it starts at the top.
