With all the depressing facts for this season, the one bit of info for next season that I haven’t seen mentioned on this site, is that according to the ESPN100 list for NCAAMBB, NCSU is still in the running for 3 uncommitted 4 or 5 star players, including a PF. I think some players are waiting until the season is over to commit. Perhaps looking for PT. Hey, I think we have PT to give out next season.

Before I walk away from thiw post, I wanted to clarify that the quote was not in reference to the game last night. Also I meant to type that hopefully coaches from other schools can use that quote after getting beat by us in both football and basketball soon.

I can see that there wasn’t much interest in my throwback reference to “Turkish Scott Wood”, but after last night everyone could use a happy thought with this quote from ORW in the link:

“we got our tails kicked today,” Williams said.”

That never gets old. Hopefully other coaches can line up and use that quote soon in both sports.

I’m usually a lurker on the forums, but I couldn’t help but notice that no one mentioned our biggest fan in Turkey – Engin Atsur, who last played for the Pack in 2007. He now plays pro in Turkey, but remember that he was a key player for one of Sidney Lowes’s shining moments – the first win at home against a No. 3 UNX:

especially note the multiple 3-pointers in the second half and the 2 clutch 3-frees to win the game.

Some things should never be forgotten. I am not personally associated with anyone who caoched or played in that game, but I was there watching and that game is still one of the high points in the last 30 years of Wolfpack basketball.
