Our team is the Johnny Football of CBB. Every game it’s, “we have to come out and play 40 minutes,” “we have to play team basketball,” “we’ve gotta do a better job of defending.” How about stop effing up at the worst possible moments?
We played really great defense, we rebounded great, we just came up short against a very good team. The missed 3’s in crunch situations kill us.
Is UVA that good defensively that we can’t come back from 5 down when they aren’t hitting? Were the guys too tired out from all the defending they had to do tonight?
UVa is good defensively, yes. But we also made it easy on them by settling for a long jumper too quickly way too often, including down the stretch.
Then again, other than Power Kitty, everyone else appeared to have a seizure when they had the ball within 3 feet of the basket anyway so….
The flagrant didn’t cost us the game, UVa only made one of the FT, they would have had possession any way. Please don’t start the refs lost it for us…..again.
Well, it was Handsy McGee that took that ‘flagrant’. He does wind up beating us.
I agree w/ not blaming the refs, BP, but that was a huge call.
