See that cowcatcher, there? It kinda’ reminds me of State’s front 7 v. FSU, last Saturday. Which, btw, didn’t get its full, head-cocked, attention. (

Cowdog: I tend to agree that it will be an entertaining game. Syracuse throws it around, plays at high tempo and gets the ball out quickly. That will stress our defense.
I tend to think this one comes down to whether one team can generate a run game, and whether one team spots points in Special Teams.09/29/2017 at 10:30 AM #124447
I think if we can take care of the ball again, we won’t have to sweat this one out to the end, otherwise, we’ll have to make them trade a few TDs for FGs. I’m calling a 31-26 final.
Btw, from a Syracuse article on the game.
Carter-Finley Stadium is a tough place to play
Carter-Finley Stadium is not quite Death Valley in terms of enormity, but N.C. State has a good team, and its fans will pack that place, even for a 12:20 p.m. kick.
It won’t be as rowdy as, say, the following week’s 8 p.m. kick against Louisville, but the re-entry policy in which fans can leave at halftime to quickly reapply the liquor and beer and return for the second half ensures both the team and fans can make the necessary halftime adjustments depending how the opening 30 minutes go.09/29/2017 at 11:06 AM #124448
I’ll be at Carter-Finley for tomorrow’s game….
My NCState girl/ daughter got us tickets for my birthday.
After all these years hanging out at SFN, it would be nice to shake some hands!!!
GO PACK!#NCSU-North Carolina's #1 FOOTBALL school!09/29/2017 at 11:22 AM #124449
So, at this point CD, we are “The Little Engine That Could” !09/29/2017 at 12:11 PM #124450
So, at this point CD, we are “The Little Engine That Could” !
It beats “pulling a train” though, doesn’t it?09/29/2017 at 1:18 PM #124453
Tomorrow we feast on Oranges!!!!! I don’t know which is a lamer mascot. A pine tree or an orange. However, I think a huge pine tree falling down towards you would be scary as h*ll.
I’m calling a 31-26 final.
Funny. Earlier this week I was thinking 31-27 for the final score.09/29/2017 at 1:18 PM #124454
Congrats BOTB. My kid got in but decided to go Vols. UGA tomorrow after the Pack plays.09/29/2017 at 3:58 PM #124457
I’ve got it at 31-28 for the Pack. Looks like we’re converging. Hopefully it’s great minds and not fools……..09/29/2017 at 10:01 PM #124465
Look, I’m here, I’m a grad, I love this school.
I just bought tix for the Lville game….I have jinxed the pack.
GD me.09/30/2017 at 12:41 PM #124467
I’ll get it started…good for scoring points on the opening drive. Don’t like throwing that far short of the sticks. Good FG. Then great pick. Then great INT save by wideout in poor throw by Finley. There. Caught up. State up 3-0 with 6 min left in first.09/30/2017 at 12:42 PM #124468
Looks like Finley might throw a pick today. Not on target early.09/30/2017 at 12:46 PM #124469
Wise off to excellent start..2 FGS last one from 48 yds out..09/30/2017 at 1:07 PM #124470
F the Orange. Way too many dirty plays.09/30/2017 at 1:27 PM #124471
and, the missed extra point. Crime-in-Italy.09/30/2017 at 2:08 PM #124472
I don’t know what is wrong with me, sometimes I would rather watch the Cheats lose than the Pack win.09/30/2017 at 2:09 PM #124473
Wise with the missed FG (31 yds)to end first half
As BOTB would say, Toke ’em if you got ’em
Pack 26 Cuse 7
((Pack 26 Cuse 7))
(Pack 26 Cuse 7)

I thought that last FG attempt after the timeouts by Syracuse would have been an excellent time to run a trick play and go for a TD. Syracuse had just watched us line up and attempt the kick multiple times and might have been asleep on a possible trick play there. And, as it turns out, we would not have lost any points if it was unsuccessful…09/30/2017 at 2:17 PM #124475
Just when ya think ya got a kicker…geez.
Long way to go, but Pack is playing very efficient football.09/30/2017 at 2:17 PM #124476
^ Yeah, nothing to lose going for it.09/30/2017 at 2:21 PM #124477
Agreed, CD. They look good other than the kicking game and a few lapses in the secondary.09/30/2017 at 3:02 PM #12447809/30/2017 at 3:06 PM #124479
Checked out for the entire 3rd quarter for the 2nd time this year. Hope they get it back on track.09/30/2017 at 3:09 PM #124480
What a fugly fugly third quarter. So much for efficiency.09/30/2017 at 3:26 PM #124481
Gotta stop letting the team go out to the parking lot at halftime, takes a whole quarter to get back on track.
