Great ADs have no emotional ties like you and I, rather they want large budgets and a high salary. NC State offers neither. Debbie had personal ties and was undervalued (inexpensive) b/c the industry is sexist; if Debbie were a man, she could have named her school. Serendipity rarely repeats.
