Your Reminder to Remember the 90s

If those pretentious, cheating bastards born and bred are looking for any mercy, or sympathy, then they’ve come to the wrong place.

Remember the 90s.

And then every time a UNC fan scoffs at our obsessive, bitter hatred of them, just remind them its their own fault. They started this back in 1989 when they used their power in the Board of Governors and media to launch an opportunistic, vitriolic assault against Jim Valvano personally, and his program that was overshadowing Dean Smith’s (click here for some history).

And also remind them of this (click here):

For every State fan who endured the self-imposed — it’s important to note that, unlike The Flagship, we held ourselves accountable after the NCAA, SBI and Poole Commission found only “minor” infractions in 1989 — indignity of the 90s (and beyond), while Carolina fans scoffed at us with their trademarked, arrogant elitism, this isn’t about ripping down banners.

This is all about the reckoning.

For decades, The Flagship perpetuated the fallacy of its superiority through its precious credo. Pompous Carolina fans — and also alums — adhered to a higher standard, and they were better, more deserving than you. All you had to do was ask one of them, they’d make sure you knew that.

Meanwhile, as they diminished us, for two decades, they were fine-tuning a chronic, institutionalized system of fraud to keep their athletes eligible. What the Wainstein Report revealed — what every bitter State fan has long known — is that “fraud” is just a white collar term for “pretentious, cheating, bastards born and bred.”

The Carolina Way has proven a giant, hollow lie. And the Notice of Allegations is a good start towards holding it accountable for that.

^^ Of course unx goof boys are using that as proof that the scandal was academic and not athletic. They really are dumb over there.

The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools sorta had to do something or they’d look like a total sham. If it had been any other school, SACS would have yanked their accreditation years ago. They drug their feet on this for at least 9 months, looking for some wiggle room to avoid punishing Carolina. So they finally said, you’re making us look bad. We gotta do something. How’s about a year of probation?

To any other college, this would be a huge embarrassment but apparently they have no shame in Chapel Hill.

So double secret probation – that is the effect of this.

Amen!! The UNCheaters are doing everything possible to weasel out of this one, Board of Governors, Swofford, every delay tactic in the book and this is 100 times worse than anything that happened under Jimmy V, it is not remotely close!

Since an amended NOA is on the board, UNC-CH should also request that the NCAA changed the impermissible benefits finding to one of academic fraud to keep it consistent with the SACS finding, since they’re oozing integrity and all with the self righteousness reporting.
