3-Star WR Brian Sessoms Signs with NC State

Long time Pack15 commit Brian Sessoms has finally signed his letter of intent to The Pack. Sessoms who has been committed to NC State since April hails from Winston-Salem, North Carolina attending Carver High School. He isn’t the biggest player on the field at 5’8″ and 165 pounds but his tremendous speed stands out. Sessoms is easily the fastest player in the state of North Carolina as well the country. Look for him if he doesn’t get slapped with a red shirt to make a difference in games next year with his quickness. Nyheim Hines seems like the consensus player to return kicks plus punts but Sessoms could hold his own in this category. Sessoms ended his recruitment early committing to The Pack during last year’s spring game over the hometown Demon Deacons. Pack fans can follow him on twitter at https://twitter.com/BrianSessoms1

Pack15 Commits: Brian Sessoms (Left) and Reggie Gallaspy (Right).

This kid could be the gem of this recruiting class. I coach at Reagan High School in Winston Salem and have had the opportunity to follow this kid. If he is not redshirted, I believe he will be the starter at punt/kick returner. His one-cut burst of acceleration is among the best I’ve ever seen.

Thanks for the info. We sure as hell could use a good return man.

What’s this concern about red shirting? If Sessoms works hard and is the better returner, he will play. Doeren makes that promise.

Yes he has the speed but durability could be an issue because of his size. Coaches may decide to redshirt him to work on his physical intangibles that he does/does not possess. The best guy always plays, but having a 165 pound man return punts/kicks is a death wish if he is only out there because of speed alone. We will see. Go Pack.
