I’m writing this as I’m watching the College Football Playoff selection show. If I had to pick right now I would have to rank the top four as:
1. FSU
2. Alabama
3. Oregon
4. Baylor
Do I think FSU is the best? Nope but they haven’t lost and have played an admirably tough schedule so you need to put them at #1. In the end, the rankings don’t really matter as long as you are in the top 4.
Baylor, TCU & Ohio St. all have a legitimate argument for being the top 4. Ohio St. has the worst loss by losing at home to a terrible Virginia Tech team, Baylor has the best win beating TCU and also beat TCU head to head. Baylor has to be in. If Ohio St had JT Barrett I don’t doubt they are one of the best teams in the league given the loss you can’t put them in the top four.
This whole conversation could have been avoided if the committee didn’t give us rankings before today.
Here’s the OFFICIAL top Four
1. Bama
2. Oregon
3. FSU
4. Ohio State
Wow. We will have more later.
Here are some Twitter Reactions:

I will totally eat crow. Didn't think committee could move a team from No. 3 to No. 6 for winning by 50. What do I know.

This is a message to the Big 12 – expand and play a conference title game.

However, this also means the CFP weekly rankings are utter crap. What a worthless five Tuesdays we all will never get back.
— Dr. Saturday (@YahooDrSaturday) December 7, 2014
I think the biggest takeover for me is committee needs to get rid of weekly rankings. We just saw they have 0 importance, just confuse fans.

"It was cordial" okay that definitely means Tom Osborne pulled a switchblade on someone at one point

[Update]
Jeff Long speaks
“Ohio State showed they were a quality team and deserved the fourth spot”
“It was really about Ohio State” moving up, “not TCU moving down”
