“Champions in the Classroom, Champions on the field, and Champions in the Community”. That was the saying TOB threw around and I’ve heard Coach Doeren preach something similar. Well we may not be champions of anything on the field this year but at least we are doing some good in the community. This picture was tweeted out yesterday that shows 2 State football players deciding to sit with a kid at lunch who was sitting by himself.
Unsurprisingly, the player on the right is Asa Watson who is well-known for his community service but it’s hard to tell who the second player stuffing his face with pizza would be. Regardless, the picture has been retweeted hundreds of times, got NC State football trending on twitter, and has reached the front page of Reddit with nearly 29,000 votes. Win or lose, I’ll always support NC State but this sort of thing makes me proud to be a Wolfpack Fan.
Finally some positive press for the Pack.
