Happy Fourth of July!

Nothing better to share today than this video that ESPN has been showing on SportsCenter since Sunday. Fantastic. God bless you, and God bless America.

Enjoy the day and celebrate with loved ones, and above all be safe….

You need to give us a little warning to get a tissue or 2 before starting view this. I’m also moved by the effort and money that went into making this video. WOW!

Thanks SFN for making this 4th very meaningful.

I’m with Grey…that was a bit of a tearjerker indeed.

Not much I can say about that, but a huge thank you to all that serve and keep our freedom safe!

I am toggling back and forth between H2’s “The Revolution” and HBO’s “John Adams” marathons. I have seen each before. Because I’m that kind of dork.

Today, I shall be a dork for America! 😀

    My July 4th sentiments….

As a nation, we continue to be a ‘work in process’….

For every “good thing”…. there is something else, equally important, that still has “some room for improvement”….

Truth is …. if that were not the case…. we wouldn’t be the USA as this strikes at the intellectual core of the American Experiment.

We should never forget that we All are descendants of immigrants who packed up everything they owned and came to this land for one purpose …. to build a better life for themselves and their families AND to build a nation.

That said…. that “immigrant spirit” has been, is, and will continue to be, the “heart and soul” of America. Otherwise, we would just another nation and a “people without hope”.

At the end of the day… when one objectively compares the options…. the ‘old’ USA is still one of the best deals around…. for everybody.

    Have a good one… fellas…

Football season starts in about seven weeks!

@BJD…Me too, me too and….me too.

    @bill…Well said and I couldn’t agree more.

One of the recurring themes in that video is how the family members almost always run to the soldiers. And it’s a full out sprint. The wife and daughter at the Chickens stadium probably had a better 40 time than most SEC corners. Just kinda interesting that seems to be the universal reaction.

    Let’s Go Pack.

As I move between patriotic hours, I’d like to take this moment to thank all the Pig Farmers.

I know your getting rich raising hogs, but somebody has to do it.

Good Job! Keep up the good work!

As an official U.S farmer i want to thank all our military for the sacrifices they make for all of us out here. There is no one in this country more pro-military than me, i think of all the hell they go through so we can sit here and complain about some decision a coach makes that we don’t like. Thanks all and may God Bless you all and keep you safe.

I was there at the “Willy B” when that happened at it was “AWESOME” with a capital A…It was also very cool to see the guys from Fort Jackson come to the games a few years ago when the “folks who couldn’t cope with the playbook change and mindset shift” decided they wanted to stay home.

One of the few places where they remind veterans that you can “salute” during the National Anthem even if not in uniform…Took me a while to adjust to that, but it’s a danged good feeling to stand there amongst the idiots with their hats still on!

Tonight Scotty McCreery was introduced as a student at North Carolina State on the national PBS (UNCTV, etc.) July Fourth TV special, 90 minutes of good entertainment from the mall, Washington, DC.

Where did the Boston Pops performance go last night? Couldn’t find it at all on any DISH channel. I’ve always liked that one better, but usually try to watch all of them…

My wife bugs me constantly to “take a road trip” and see that one, but I’ve got too many Mass buds who say “stay away” because of the crowd…too old for “mosh pits””!!!
