The NC State injury news just took an awful turn as it has been announced that starting offensive guard, Zach Allen is out for the season with a foot injury that will require surgery.
Allen joins defensive tackle, Jacob Kahut (knee) and linebacker Michael Peek (knee) as players that are out for the entire season.
For Florida State however, State’s offense will also be missing three other starters, including two key offensive linemen – Robert Crisp and Andrew Wallace.
Make no mistake about the significance of these injuries on NC State’s football program – not just this one game. Coach Tom O’Brien’s seat is getting hotter by the week, and the fact that his program does not appear to contain enough talented depth to help weather injuries does not bode necessarily well for a bright future.
