Don’t assume that just yet. Most (though not all) ACC Networks games do end up on ESPN3.

Like most of you, I’m no fan of the “ACC Network” when it comes to football games. They always mean early starting times for the fans, which sucks in September and early October, and it means that this game will last for nearly 4 hours. The ACC Network has no urgency to move their games along because they’re the only game that’s on (they don’t give a rat’s posterior that CBS has a game following), so they drag it out as long as possible, adding to fan (and player) misery.

These games are no fun for the tv fan, either. When Channel 5 shows one, like Duke-VT, their non-HD channel picks up the network game that otherwise would be in full HD. And despite Directv being the best sports outlet, Channel 5.2 is not on Directv. I have an antenna to get it and thus avoid having to get Time-Warner, which is almost as bad as the ACC Network itself.

And with more teams entering the ACC soon, this will mean even MORE games on the local network.

    Don’t you just LOVE expansion?

I couldn’t help myself but to check in on the comments of Incest Carolina. Entertaining as usual. They just can’t decide whether it’s more important to end “The Streak”, or NOT recognize NCSU as their rival, or blab about how inferior us “rednecks” are.

Finally, one Bubba heel fan protested that he objected to the use of the term “redneck”, and that many holes fans’ self-identity is such (a shock to Chapel Hill). That was the best post of all. Poor country people are the new ni**ers in this society. I hate it, too. The derision that used to be heaped on blacks is now directed to poor rural people. I’m waiting for NPR to cover that variety of hate. I digress.

It’s not very often that you can find a unc fan scolding other unc fans on their arrogance, elitism, and hypocrisy all at the same time. So, it was a nice visit to I.C .

And it was a nice reminder to us to embrace our rural heritage. I am not from rural NC, but I sure learned to love rural NC.

Agreed about the games dragging on. WRAL shows the CBS SEC game after the ACC game is over, and most weeks you can forget seeing the first quarter of that game…it’s always going to be pre-empted while the ACC/Raycom game drags to its finish.
