Torian Graham listed as a 2013 prospect

In more recruiting related news, it appears that Torian Graham has been ‘reclassified’ as a 2013 prospect:

The Phenom Hoop Report, produced by Rick Lewis, the father of N.C. State signee Tyler Lewis, already lists Graham as a reclassified Class of 2013 prospect in stories about the Hoop Group Jam and Reebok Breakout Challenge.

His ‘journey’ has been full of changes (4 high schools, 2 commits to NC State and then subsequent decommits) and it is likely to unfold with more of the same:

…most people believe he’ll play next season at a prep school…or possibly a junior college…

Last week, in a text, Creedmoor Christian Faith coach Kendrick Williams wrote that Graham is “completely undecided and processing his situation to understand exactly where he is and what his options potentially are.”

The way things are shaping up this year, spreading the talent to next year seems beneficial, but one has to wonder what affect this could have on the Pack’s hold (seeing as other high profile schools such as L’Ville and Memphis have standing offers).

Is this really a highlight video? A few layups and dunks and one last-second 3-point shot…

Graham has had quite a journey for such a young age. Not sure he will ever suit up for State. Coach Gott has really done well recruiting to this point but has also laid some ground work for the up coming classes and it looks like we might do very well on the recruiting trail. Kid from LSU will most likely commit this weekend and he will be eligible 13-14 season.

I hope we get Graham in 2013, he finally gets some stability in his academic, athletic and personal life and gets a fantastic springboard into a great career. What with his mom dying last summer leaving him without a parent, his knee surgery, all of the schools and the criticism by the uninformed over the decommits, this is one I really hope is a great fit at State and makes for a hell of a success story.

I am concerned that he could not complete the low five sequence with his teammate.

Chucks, Hargrave Military Academy instills in young men the discipline to execute low fives not only on the basketball court but in the classroom as well. For decades, these fine young men have consistently carried their low five work ethic through to every other facet of their lives.

Hopefully his junior college experience will help him step up his intro game. I need to see a clean slaps and a solid chest bump at the bare minimum.
