    Turnovers, lack of defense, uninspired play.

    We’re down by 4. Need to get Wood’s and the team’s confidence back. Showing some grit on defense would be good too.

    Most of all it’d be nice to look like we actually want it. So tired of being so mentally fragile. Easily Gottfried’s biggest challenge with this program. At least he knows it and is open about it.

    Have not noticed the hand checking – no. I’ll watch for it in the second. We’re just playing extremely tentative.

    Count me in on playing AJ over Woo at this point. Woo needs to have a few sessions with the school psychologist. AJ has been playing hungry the past three games, and he’s playing ten times more efficiently.

    Which is why I decided to take a nap instead of watch Duke. I cannot stand to watch the refs fawn all over them.

    I am not good about watching things like hand checking. I will try to notice in the second half, though.

    What we need to do is slash more and cause the Tiggers to reach. As good a foul shooting team as we are, we need to create opportunities more.

    I am so f-cking sick of the “so thirty seconds ago” phone commercial. Almost as much as how often Steve Martin mentions Duke.

    Also, aside from that 5 points spotted to Clemson by the sorry ass refs:

    Scott needs to ride the pine for a good chunk of time. He’s just not playing well. He’s getting burned on defense and playing poorly on offense.

    ^We look so tentative that I’d guess that the coaching staff has pushed that point with the team. Maybe we’re scared to commit / be called for a foul. We never really escape the refs lolll.

    Good ball game. Just hope State plays the second half knowing they have everything to lose.

    Rick, to the refs this is personal aint’ it? Has been for a long time. Sad. I’m sick of it myself. And today is a good day compared to some of the other crap I’ve seen them pull on the Pack.

    You guys realize if Clemson wins this game, they would tie us at 7-7 in the league. I guess that’s what losing 4 straight can do to you.

    Scott Wood has never played well. He’s always been bad without the ball.

    The difference now is he’s not shooting well, either.

    I definitely hate Duke more than the Holes this year. I look forward to seeing them make a fugly first weekend exit at the big dance.

    Hopefully, the Holes end up in Cuse’s bracket so they don’t make the Final Four either.

    THat is something it takes time to learn and none of these guys have been taught squat the past 3 years. These are the subtle things that experienced players pickup. The legacy of Sid lives on.

    That’s why I say that if Woo isn’t shooting (he has to at least put them up), he ought not be playing. At least he and AJ should flip the amount of minutes they usually play.

    Or hell, go with a “three bigs” look and try to get some offense from the lowpost.

    The funny thing is a “like” a lot of the players but I so hate what K has turned basketball into.

    Seriously. I hope Gottfried just slaps each one of our players across the face in the locker room at half time.

    Maybe that would make them play with some intensity.

    Take wood out and our team d and team iq plummet. He needs to wake up but he gets zero help. He had a great pass to brown who turned it over making a low percentage pass (which brown does a high percentage

    Wood doesn’t seem bothered by anything going into the 2nd.
