Five at the break. Very fair representation of how the teams played in the first half. And yes, officiated consistently and fairly.

I’m not confident we can withstand the next big Hole run…which is coming.

46-41 UNC at halftime. Not bad considering UNC was up 19-5.

Impressive that Howell played several minutes with 2 fouls and didn’t pick up his third.

Only chance of winning is Woo shooting lights out with 4-6 3’s… and Howell staying out of foul trouble… oh yeah, and Leslie not cramping… and Johnson making some 3’s… and Brown… and playing defense like end of first half… anything else?

Oh I think there is a chance. UNC never shoots this well from the outside. I would expect them to try to bang it inside. If we can get hot from three, we have a decent shot.

Well played game on both sides so far. They’ve only outrebounded us by one so far (22-21), we’re taking slightly better care of the ball (3-1 in turnovers). Difference is they are shooting better than we are, but they are cooling off slightly as the game progresses, and we are heating up.

I’d say it’s anybody’s game right now.

State can win this game but do they want it badly enough? There is such a thing as the underdog winning a game. Does Brown know how to set up a teammate off the dribble instead of taking a flubbed-up shot his-self?

If Harris could get some confidence he could be a unique match up for UNC. He can actually shoot and has Henson arms.

The guys are playing their asses off – nothing to do with will. Just watch how they fight for rebounds. The Holes are just scary good, almost unbeatable if they play well.

We’ve kept Zeller completely out of the game so far. That’s a huge plus.

If the game gets to be in doubt for Tarholes, how will that affect the calls? They have been fairly consistent so far but look out if State gets on top.

Their 3-pt percentage is high because we are leaving them really, really open. The looks they are getting there are not the same as ours. So it’s not a statistical fluke.

But looking at the rebounding stats, it’s a good tradeoff, in my view.

Seems like we started covering their 3s better as the half went on. They started driving more and got cut off doing that most of the time.
