Saturday Somethings

Only two more weeks…

Not a lot new today. Preseason news has been kind of drab; we have a boring coach and a boring team…which is exactly the way we all should want it in August. No one wants to see Charles Robinson in Raleigh. Make sure you spend some time perusing the front page of the blog, and then go over to the SFN Forums and join in on a variety of discussions.

*The season’s first TOB show airs Monday (GoPack.com).

*Brett Friedlander says TOB scored a victory over the SEC with 6’4″/295 LSU-transfer Cameron Fordham, who is already enrolled and will redshirt this season (Wilmington Star News).

*Of course this means absolutely nothing in August, but Oklahoma tops the AP Preseason poll; Alabama, Oregon, LSU and Boise State round out the Top 5, while Florida State is 6th and Virginia Tech is 13th (ESPN).

*Big Ten Commissioner Jim Delaney says the conference has no plans to expand…right now (SI.com).

*Andy Katz talks with Mark Gottfried, Seth Greenburg, and Brian Gregory (ESPN).

A quote from our new center Cameron Fordham: “I felt like there was alot of integrity in the program at NC State. The coaches were all about doing the right things …”.

I could not be happier that TOB and his men are running my football program. Making us proud is about more than just wins.

The news from preseason camp may have been drab but it has also been concerning. It sounds like the offense has not found its stride. Our D may be good. Nut so will our opponents’. They better find another gear soon.

    Welcome, Cameron Fordham!

I hope our team is doing things right and with integrity. It sure appears that way to me. But the whole of college football is looking like one giant cesspool of corruption.

Fordham was something like the 7th ranked center in the country (in his recruitment class). We graduate our only 2 centers and Fordham will step right in. Sweet!

I’m concerned about the offense. If they don’t get in stride, we could be looking at a 7-5 season instead of what could be a 10-2 season. Get ‘er done!!!! Welcome to Cameron Fordham! Sounds like a great addition! Thank God for TOB and the program “doing the right thing!”

instead of what could be a 10-2 season.

You really shouldn’t post while smoking crack. It shows.

    He’s right. It’s 11-1 or 12-0. Not 10-2. 🙂

It may be a little early to worry about the offense. I gotta believe by the time we take the field against Liberty our offense will be clicking. Look for Dana Bible to establish the running game early to take the pressure off Glennon. Then comes the play action pass. Our speedy receivers are gonna grow up this year. We’ll put 50 or 60 points on Liberty. I’ll predict a 56 to 7 beat down in our first game with MG as quarterback. I know its just Liberty but its good for building confidence.

TOB is boring….but he has been successful in the past. Glennon is being groomed in the manner of Matt Ryan…(not to bad) But seriously we will be at best 9-3…yet 8-4 is more realistic. Do not get me wrong I love the Pack, I love football…but I try to be real.
