The pick by Bishop is one of the nicest plays I’ve seen in our secondary in a LONG time. That one & Audie’s against UCF earlier this year are simply amazing, smart, athletic plays. The D certainly stepped up this year – still not where they need to be, but they put us in position to win most of the time. That’s all you can ask.

    Great videos…

I’ve looked all over for a good video clip of our botched fake FG. I haven’t seen anyone comment on that yet. But that was the most hideous, comical attempt at a fake FG that I think I’ve ever seen.

I did find a video of it, but it was from behind the holder, not a good angle. There was a replay from the sideline that showed just how ugly that toss was by the holder.

I realize one thing after watching the highlight clip…..We are REALLY going to miss RW! His scramble ability and accuracy (when he is “on”) is amazing. Add in the best attitude in college football and it makes you realize how valuable this kid is.

Great job Wolfpack! Russel we will miss you next year (Nate as well). We may get one more year of RW but I seriously doubt it. He has a great opportunity in front of him in Baseball.

Man is he good at getting out of trouble….He just looks so smooth and never winded.

Even though the fake field goal was botched, I like the play call. The holder didn’t wait long enough..but so what. I like the move. As State fans you have to give TOB some credit.

The 5-star play of the game is at the 6:00 mark on the highlight reel above: Irving and Mageo’s dousing of O’Brien – textbook, one of the best I’ve ever seen!

^ I do give TOB credit for that. It was probably the last thing anyone expected, since he’s usually so conservative. But in that situation, I kinda thought we’d have been better off taking a 10 point lead. We needed six yards, and I’m pretty sure they’d have had it covered even if the pitch had been true. It’s not a hindsight is 20-20 thing. That would have been a short, almost sure-thing field goal. I think you attempt the fake on a longer field goal attempt that you have a lower percentage chance of making.

But I have to give TOB credit. Although, after that poor execution, we’ll probably be lucky to ever try something like that again!

Concerning the fake field goal, I think I heard TOB say it had worked everytime in practice. It did look comical, but I believe that is the same play LSU? or someone had run successfully earlier in the season.

I went to the game. Great game by the Wolfpack. But let me take a minute to pat the Wolfpack fans on the back. I was so proud of how many Wolfpack fans made the trip and the kind of environment that we gave our football team to play in. Wolfpack nation owned that Stadium while we were there and our players feed off that. So proud of the Wolfpack nation.
