Full-blown fiasco here we come! Elaine Marshall steps in to stir the cow-pie! Plus some bonus Miami pictures!

North Carolina Secretary of State Elaine Marshall is now involved in this developing Gong Show – in her capacity to regulate agents. From the story:

“We’ll be investigating the agents,” Marshall said said. “We will not be investigating the school.”

You know what?  I think this is super!  Because we already have a regulating agency on campus investigating the school.  The NCAA!  I am as cynical and jaded as anyone, but I see this as bad for UNC-CH.   Marshall being involved will  1) drag this thing out 2) keep it in the press and 3) get agents talking about stuff you can bet UNC-CH does not want talked about and/or ratting on each other.  All good things as far as I am concerned.  Let’s assume Marsall succeeds in nailing agents doing illegal things … almost by definition that will mean NCAA violations for UNC-CH, or at least for the players … who would not have been under proper “institutional control.”

Before we get to Miami, I want to point out that Tuesday afternoon this story seemed dead.  Smug UNC-CH fans with “inside sources” were arrogantly telling everyone that Little was going to be cleared after the team meeting and that Austin might get a one-game suspension.  The team meeting came and went and I don’t think Little has been cleared.  Maybe I missed it.  The tide really turned on all of that “inside information.”   What happened? 

Now, on to the promised bonus pictures from Miami to supplement our previous entry.

These are all dated May 15th so we are talking about Little’s “March” trip that actually happened in May during the  South Beach lesbian festival. Were these pictures taken at the “Agent Party” that the NCAA is supposedly investigating?

These don’t add a lot of new news, but they are funny.  Let’s do sort of a “Where’s Waldo?” game.  See how long it takes you to locate Marvin in these pictures.

That is Vern Davis by the way.  I think I read that he ties in with some agents or something.  Anyway,  how long did it take you to find Marvin?  Look right over Vern’s right hand.

OK, this one was easy, but you get bonus points if you saw our man Greg Little!  What is he doing there in May?  I mean March.  I mean May.
