Let’s Put Our Money Where Our Mouths Are!

Almost to a reader, everyone here wants NC State’s sports to be competitive and successful where ever it is that they compete.

Many of us wanted change to come to the management of Wolfpack athletics, and now that change has come, with a new Athletic Director — a CEO, if you will — on the horizon.

Change, as they say, has come.  Some might say it is long overdue, others might say it came at the right time.  No matter, it’s here and it’s hopefully a turning point and the beginning of the long-wanted upward trend across the board where Wolfpack sports is concerned.  As the largest university in North Carolina, which is the 9th most populous state in the country, there is no reason why NC State should not be in the upper half of the ACC in every sport across the board on a regular basis, and absolutely no reason why it should not be able to win its share of conference titles and even national titles.  The potential of NC State as an athletic tour de force is just that great, and don’t let anyone ever tell you it cannot happen.  It can, and it should.  And part of that success ultimately involves you.

As it is with almost any fresh start, it is time for those who want to see their vision of success come to pass to rally around around the school, its teams and its leaders.  Since nearly none of us can don a uniform and play for the school, we can do the next best thing: we can open our wallets and support the players that do.

While times are tough, and many family budgets are tight, formerly dissatisfied members of the Wolfpack Club should consider reactivating their membership, that is, if it is within their means.  No one should short their kid a new pair of shoes, of course, but at the same time, if you can do it, you ought to think about it — showing the athletes that they have your support.

If you are not a member of the Wolfpack Club, perhaps it is time to think about joining.  They’d be happy to hear from you.

Even if you can’t afford to join, I am sure that the WPC would be more than pleased to accept a one-time donation, even if it were only for $20.

Doing this would show the school that its alumni and fans support their teams and that they want NC State to succeed….and to win.

Something to think about, I say, and hopefully, you can see your way to pitching in and helping the Red and White.

Haven’t made my “Thanks for getting rid of Jed” donation yet, but plan on making it this week.

I would also like to note that I received a Father’s Day gift request from the Padre: A pair of women’s basketball season tickets. The excitement around Wolfpack athletics is crescendoing rapidly.

Coach Lowe, you are on notice. Get it done.

ADVENTUROO – I would be interested to hear more of your thoughts on the Caldwell/Fellows program if there is a good way to discuss.

We all need to support the admins who are finally trying to address the concerns of the rank-n-file in wolfpacknation.
At the same time we all need to invest something other than “mouth-equity” into the deal.

Heck, I’ve figured out why some of you are Pack fans, you only want to give $$$$ when things are going good and being a Pack fan is good insurance that you won’t have to come off the hip! LOL

I made my first donation ever to the Wolfpack Club within an hour of hearing the Fowler was leaving.
