I don’t have a say in whether Lowe is retained or fired….therefore don’t get involved in those arguments. However, I frequently point out the problems with many of the arguments used. I’m also trying to keep the inevitable arguments from getting as ugly as they did here last year.

Really? I’ve never seen you be this heavy handed with someone who thinks Lowe should be fired… Why is that?

Point out a comment that you think should have been addressed.

Actually that comment gave you the benefit of the doubt and you have the opportunity to justify why that statement isn’t stupid.

To the other guy earlier.. can’t remember his name and not clicking back lol

I think that’s awesome because I think he’s a good coach and a great recruiter.

Okay, I’m not an idiot… that doesn’t make sense because he deleted my comment for a reason unknown to me

RIGHT, that’s exactly what I’m saying…. if Sid’s 5th is worse than his 4th…. I say we don’t renew… and actually TERMINATE. I’m just moving the year’s AHEAD by one for Sid, since he DOES have a top flight coming in next year, just like Herb had a top flight one come in for his 6th (enter the Jules from Harlem).

I’d agree with that, TOB. In fact, I’m going to require an NCAA bid next year in order to give Sid any more support. I’m in the camp that thinks we’ll be better off keeping Sid and getting his next recruits in here. I feel that way because I’ve seen how we handle coaching searches, and I have no faith in our esteemed AD to bring in a top notch replacement. Because I see that as the only alternative, and don’t like it, I’d rather give Sid ONE MORE YEAR to show some marked improvement. Most of the pieces are in place for us to have a good team, except for the point guard, and that piece arrives in 2010. I’m content to see what happens with Sid when he finally has a top notch point guard on the roster.

But we have to make the NCAA tournament, or I’ll stop supporting Sidney. He doesn’t get a perpetual WTNY from me. He only gets one more year, from me anyway.

P.S. We better make the big dance, and not just because they expanded it to 96 teams as it sounds like they might. I want State to be invited, even if it was only 65 teams. If we finish with 18 wins and a sub-.500 conference record, that won’t be good enough for me next year.

We are so patient and forgiving. Lowe you will be here next year for more agonizing losses. If your recruits prove to be as great as expected, then we certainly won’t see then for 4 years. NBA. And we are back to the drawing board. As for our current players, Lowe brought them in, and how they perform on the court is his responsiblity. So what if he played PG for the “83” champs, he is a coach now, and should be accountable for his horrible job performance. How many times do I have to say it. He has the worst winning percentage of any men’s basketball coach @ NC State. Facts, gentlemen. Would you still have a job if you had such a poor job performance. Now we see why UNC is superior in basketball, they don’t mess around. Coaches do their job, or they are gone. Not after 4 or 5 years. And as I said before, with the right coach, we can keep our recruits, no matter what they say. The right coach can be too much of a temptation to change schools.
