    I love the way Farnold can penetrate with that quickness. He just makes things happen. But, as usual, we’re having a bad night keeping the ball in our hands.

    This is ugly. As good of a gameplan as we had on Wednesday, that’s about as bad of a one as we have tonight. They are totally dictating the pace of the game. We are not stopping them at all. We need some major halftime adjustments or this is going to get horrendous.

    We look very slow getting back on defense. We are jogging & they are running. Here is the emotional hangover that has been previously mentioned.

    We were fortunate to close within four points. I guess we didn’t want that, so we gave them four free ones to stretch it back out at the end of the half. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

    We are extremely fortunate it is as close as it is. As mentioned, I hope we play the second half. We are reacting poorly on defense, and a step behind. I don’t think Md is that fast, they just look it vs us. The rebounding is horrible. Let’s hope for a better 2nd half. Tough place to play from behind.

    Earlier today I posted that Degand should play all 40 minutes. After watching that 1st half segment where CJ Williams was in, I’ll say again, Degand should play 40 minutes. Interesting Sid went with the 3 guard line up at the end of Mays / Degand / Javi, we just can’t have CJ and Davis out there at the same time if neither of them can score. The four FT at the end we gave to a guy that shoots 89% was a mental lapse, to put it mildly. We’re still in it, though.

    We look out of sync. Some really bad passing during the first half and wide open threes that no one wants to take. Where’s the confidence? Hopefully we come out ready to kick some turtle A_ _.

    Some of those fouls were crap too…Horner on the breakaway did not touch him unless he meant the faint hand glance before he shot. And to give them that cheap crap just before the half is poor officiating. And I hope they will start calling the hugs in their trap. I tell my 10 year olds not to wrap their arms around the player. We are playing like crap but the officiating needs to get better as well.

    we just seem to know how to level the playing field. For every good play one of our guys makes, he turns right around and makes a bone-headed decision from Javi on down. Then maryland comes down we play good defense they take a terrible shot, and we turn around and give them extra chances at the basket. There just isn’t the focus that we saw wednesday night. We are young so I guess we have to get use to these lapses, but man its painful.

    I hate Vaquez, he is such a punk and why is it everytime we play maryland on tv, Len elmore is doing the game? I mean talk about a homer? shezzz!!
    But the young guns tonight are failing the test. Whom we have next unc at home?
    We will get them, they stink! but tonight we don’t have it and why is horner in the game? The line up should be always: R howell,t smith S wood Javi g and F degand. With Howell in there, they cannot double team smith,and the refs stink as well. touch fouls on us and a ton of guys banging undernieth and nothing called. It is going to be a long night. But i have faith in these young guns!! Next we can get those heels!!

    I just wish someone would just flatten out Vaquez! But, he will be playing next year in Tel avi or Israel or China, because he can’t play guard in the NBA. Imagine him trying to guard Kobe or Lebron loll!!

    Hey, Where are those fine half-time coaching changes or updates or adjustments? I guess El sid feels that this is the road NBA game and to give it away! LOL I hope the young guns can recover and make it decent and then set their sights for the home game against UNC! Man, if they play like thye have this year after every loss, we could win big against the heels!!
    Man, would that be great! Duke and UNC back to back home wins in the same season!!

    Go young guns!! Play well despite a lack of coaching or a head coach and what does Monte Towe do? Get bad haircuts? !!??

    Oh, and how many times has Len Elmore said how great Vaquez is and being a Senior and making good decisions blah blah blah blah blah loll
    Why don’t they just go out on a date or something loll!!

    Maybe Javi G will get mad a cream him.

    And this is why I’m concerned about Lowe. In a post earlier today, I mentioned that these were the kind of games that have killed him. That we are getting totally destroyed is what’s really disappointing.

    Oh well, we’ve got UNC and UVa in our next 2. Like I said, we had an upcoming critical 3 game set for this program – we failed the first chance, but we have 2 others.

    I’m usually the optimist but this was a terrible game. No effort from the start to the finish (and it’s not even finished yet). I’m actually not too happy with Sid either as he seemed to be pretty inactive for the entire game. The announcers kept praising UMd for shutting down our top scorers, but it didn’t look like they were shut down as much as they just weren’t trying. We were missing easy, uncontested jumpers and just not taking many shots. Bad game. A complete egg. Hopefully we can go ahead and move on to next Tuesday.

    Fast tempo against Duke and no tempo tonight. They look extremely lost tonight and they have given up.

    I hate Vas-kegs.
