Need some good news?

Toney Baker has been granted a 6th year, and he will likely return to play football next year…or will he?

We found out that my sixth year of eligibility was approved this week, which is great. I haven’t decided what I’m going to do yet, but I’m glad to have the option to come back.

We’ve been talking about it on the message boards since last night. (Link)

That is great news, but do you know something that is a positive indication that he’s leaning toward actually coming back and not trying for the NFL?

All I’ve seen is a comment from Toney saying he’s glad to have this “option”, which doesn’t give me great confidence in him returning to Raleigh for another season. It sounded like it was just an option for him to return to NC State — if he wants.

Whatever he decides, more power to him. He’s earned it!

I am happy for Tony and would love to have him back but, it’s a shame when this is as good as it gets to good news for State athletics.

Great news indeed. Glad he has the option to return.

Yea, the Pack isn’t on the tube. Radio broadcast going well, though.

Even More Good News, Kay Yow and John Thompson were awarded the 2009 Lapchick Awards, according to ESPN. Of course it was hard to find this out given that there is not one word about this on gopack.com. They should fire that whole bunch. Congratulations Coach Yow.

    Gopack.com is worthless.

    +1

What exactly do they do? Anyone have a clue? Who hires ’em? ….who evaluates ’em? who fires ’em? Sheesh!
