Kenny Boynton commits to Florida; Expect Duke to push for John Wall

Kenny Boynton, one of the nation’s top scoring guard recruits in the class of 2009, committed to Florida Thursday evening, choosing the Gators over Duke, Texas, USC and Georgia Tech.

Additionally, I just ran across this article on the internet.

“Duke has been calling my coaches and sending me letters. They are trying to get in there and I am looking at them a little,” commented Wall.

I think John will play for the Pack and Coach Sid. Ratface would teach him a whole new vocabulary that wouldn’t be nice.

Wait a minute, you’re not trying to tell me that the almighty Duke University would even consider signing a player that many NC State fans on this very site, have already expressed much hesitation about?

Don’t bother, I already know the answer to that,… YOU’RE DAMN STRAIGHT THEY WOULD, AND IN A F’N HEARTBEAT!

They want top talent under their roof, they figure (like most other colleges/fanbases do elsewhere) there’s no better time to teach a kid something then when leaves home for college, so they’ll give it their best shot anyway. Of course, they’ll also expect something in return from any kid that suits up in one of their uniform

NC State was thoroughly downplayed in the Derrick Favors/AJC article. NC State IS NOT EVEN MENTIONED in this article about John Wall. Either that weekend in Raleigh really wasn’t that great or we are just that much of a joke to the sports world…

Also, I would like to know how Miami and Duke have any chance in hell of getting John Wall over us!

Man that would hurt! I still say Shavlik Randolph spurning his childhood favorite team to play at Duke was a sad day, but this would almost be as bad since the kid’s mom is huge fan of NC State. Hopefully if he’s not going to play for the Wolfpack he’ll pick another team outside the ACC to play on. A small part of me doesn’t want to see him play against our program two or three times next year.

He will out stare his injury by getting it to blink first.

He will will the stress fracture away

“STRESS REACTION” ???? Sounds more like what a Wolfpack fan gets more than an injury. I think this is more a publicity stunt than anything, maybe a diversion.

Roy at post game interview, “Don’t blame the loss on me, it was the STRESS RE-ACTION”.

    Dead horse alert…

Only one thing is certain. With the down time required, Tyler will at least double his already herculean listening skills.

    …end dead horse aleat.

Maybe he’s started to be like May already! Too much BBQ!

“…or we are just that much of a joke to the sports world…”

Mclovin, drop the “or”, and there’s your answer. It cannot help Sidney Lowe’s cause when a top ranked HS kid/recruit, who naturally has an ego and loves seeing his name mentioned in the press, takes the time to visit NC State, and the freakin HOMETOWN newspaper, his own FREAKIN HOMETOWN NEWSPAPER, hardly even covers the story.

DAMNIT!!! That makes me so fucking mad I cannot stand it!!! If those two top recruits had made a visit to unc, unofficial or otherwise, it would be so plastered all over that piece of shit newspaper that there wouldn’t be room any other news.

^ Agreed. If those two guys had shown up at unc-ch it would have been the lead story in the news and disturber as well as the first story covered in wral’s newscast.
