Good for Kenny. He continues to be a great representative of NC State.

I hear his outside shot has really improved and he’s now able to play the 3. Oh wait…wrong decade.

This sort of surprises me. He always seemed to play with such angst. That doesn’t really fit for the image I have of Cary Academy. Granted I know nothing specific about Cary Acad or it’s athletic programs.

On the flip side, a friend of mine had a Parks and Rec class with him and said he was super nice and easy to be around.

    Congratulations Kenny!

Kenny is one of my favorite Pack players. I always wished he had played a few years later with Julius. They had that intensity that we so often seem to lack.

Of course what I remember most is Kenny’s stunning girlfriend parading up and down past our seats. Talk about a wolf whistle!

Yeah I was at School with Kenny Inge and saw him a few times on campus and he always seemed to be a good guy. During I think his freshmen year I overheard a pep talk by Sendeck to him, it was kind of neat.

Good Luck Kenny in all that you do!

Kenny Inge was just driving down Walnut Street and got whistled for his 5th foul for thinking about dinner. Brian Berstickler was in the other lane.

Soon, all the Cary Acad kids will be able to do is dunk and shoot freethows…

I agree with gopack, he was one of my favorite players.

I can’t watch South Park without thinking about Kenny Inge and chuckling… “Oh My God, they fouled Kenny… You Bast….”

Kenny Inge just stepped out of the shower and Damon Thornton was promptly T’d up.

I’ll never forget the streetball game Tulane brought in the NIT at the RBC (or was it the ESA then?). I thought Kenny was going to take someone’s head off during that game.

Congrats to Kenny. He didn’t play with angst so much as officials would let everyone abuse him and eventually he would get a little upset when no one in the ACC could foul him. I think Inge thrown to the floor more than any player in ACC history.

Karl Hess just sent Kenny Inge to the bench with his eleventeenth foul.

I’ll never forget Inge getting T’ed up for stopping Antawn Jamison’s foot with his chest.

    12pts, 8rebs… ad nauseum.

Kenny was a rock of consistency. Wish him the best in Cary!

That game and the Providence game in the NIT were the two worst officiated games in the history of officiating.

The refs were so lost and so out of their element. I think they must’ve been hockey refs.

I always blamed Sendek for not protecting Inge and making a public spectacle about how the officials were letting one of his young men get abused on the court. I thought that after Inge made it to his junior year he would start getting some respect from the officials but it only seemed to get worse and he was somehow considered to be a dirty player when in reality the guy was simply protecting himself.

I doubt there was much that anyne could do in that regard. I remember after the 1998 ACC tournament, an AP photo went out of Elton Brand shooting over Damon Thorton.

Brand had his left hand planted firmly in Thorton’s face and was shoving off.

I have no doubt that Thorton was called for the foul.

I think a coach has to be willing to take any fine or penalties imposed by the league for public comments when a player is in real danger of being injured which was the case for Inge. Every team that played knew they could abuse him at will and the only foul that would be called would be if Inge retaliated. Herbert never commanded any respect for the officials or the ACC so there may not of been much that could of been done but it would of been nice if he had a least tried.

How many former Sendek players does this make in the coaching ranks? Inge is certainly never one I would have guessed at, but I’m glad to see he’s coming back home and still involved in basketball.
