mannnn, you guys think back to the loss against Clemson and Louisville, can you BELIEVE the team has come this far…Caulton Tudor, in what is an amazing bit of analysis but publically is talking about TOB as coach of the year. (i always felt he was a tarhole lover).

The guy in Rocky Mount, Kellenberger, ripped Butchy a new one today in one article he wrote, anyone read that one.

Shoop is coming as advertised, a horrible offensive coordinator.

Skywalkerdt, I’ve had that same thought about State and SC. Too much to ask for both of them to win on the same weekend. At least both hold bragging rights over UNCX this year.

I’ve been listening to WFNZ most of the afternoon and the Tarholes have been notoriously quiet.

^^ Oddly I was mad about the goalline pass b/c, if you don’t score there (2nd down), you want UNC to have to lose either time or a time-out. The INC let them off the hook.

As it turns out, Butch screwed himself by calling a TO immediately prior to 1st and goal on our 7yd line. Eliminated the run option for UNC in the last series.

/\I felt it was a statement call by Bible, just to let Daniel know he believed him with the game on the line. Then it nearly got intercepted and JE ran it in the next play. Armstrong made a killer down block on that TD run, he blocked three guys.

Andre Brown is listed as questionable this week! Sounds like the cast/boot is off and he can run again. I hope he can play next week, if not I’m cool. Underwood was supremely effective in relief, but having Brown to spell Eugene would be great against Maryland. It would be nice if Brown can get in on the party since he can’t redshirt.

There never was a run option for UNC. They ran four about seven inches the entire game. They weren’t going to run the ball there.

Good point on Armstrong’s block. He completely collapsed the right side and took out everyone.

I wonder if he might slide over to FB next year to take Bedics spot?

^Not sure how we look at FB next year, but TE seems MUCH more important in his offense.

I was also wishing we would have just run it down their throats 2nd half, and I think we could have. It was almost starting to look like the UNC game in CH in 2002 when we just ran all over them the 2nd half for a dominating win. This game was only 3 plays away from being a blowout, but oh well. I had the unfortunate pleasure of watching this game with a room full of about 20 UNC fans where I was the ONLY State fan (except for my 12 month old son). GAWolf I’m also married to a UNC grad so I feel your pain (and pleasure after this weekend!!).

Speaking of mixed marriages, remember the kid who was so upset after we lost to UNC in the ACC championship? Here he is again (I’m friends with his dad).

Alright, guys, I’ve been back on IC board again a few minutes ago just to see what additional excuses they’ve come up with. Sounds like they think they got “called down” by the ref for their band playing at halftime. It absolutely boggles the mind that they can “twist things” around so much.

Also, some girl who writes for the DTH who probably wasn’t even at the game wrote the DTH and Technician about how bad the State fans were to her. They claim they are the “flagship”??? Drop the “l” and “beam yourself away”!

I was ready to commite hari-kari or whatever, if we lost. The rest of the weekend was gravy and I was one easy person to get along with.

My wife, a UNC trained dentist, could care less about the heels. We have a daughter (she wore red and pulled for the wolfpack) in Dental School, a son that has graduated from Dental School, and a 9th grader (he is all engineer).

Make my week, to say the least.

Primewolf, you’ve got a good wife! Not sure I could handle that. My wife is Red and White through and through and her Dad and brother were alumni also.

Great video….for those of us that get stuck in the cheap seats it brought back memories. For those of you that are students today you sure get cheated with regard to where you get to sit compared to the Dick Sheridan days. I never got up early and my seats were always between the 25 and 50. The students always got the best tickets. Things are all about making a buck these days instead of enhancing the atmosphere I guess. Anyway…good job hanging onto the cam.

Regarding our offense, on the drive of the INT, Evans had completed a couple of long passes to get us there too. Bible does a good job of mixing things up…You never know what you’ll get. He’ll run it 3 times in a row, then he’ll throw it 3 times in a row. Right now, they’ve got a tough case w/ Evans. He can throw it accurately and has been awesome 3 weeks in a row, but the “brain farts” surfaced again Saturday.

Hopefully, it’s just a blip in what has been a year of significant improvement for him. He actually did a pretty good job w/ the exception of these two huge INTs in the red zone. UNC has a good DL, for the most part we contained them, but they really started getting to him in the second half.

I don’t think we are so dominant on the line that we can just keep running it on every play the way we did back during Rivers’ junior year. Plus, one of the reasons the running game was so successful was because we had been hitting those intermediate passes. And those intermediate passes were successful because we had been running well…so the balance was working.

I finally got to see the replay of the game last night on FSN. Lousy announcers, I just had to tune them out. I sure didn’t see any major controversey at the end of the game though.

I saw Cherry say something, I guess to the band, but right before that I’d heard them cranking up even on TV, so maybe that was when he did it.
