J-Co’s amazing one handed – or one headed? – catch
NC State may choose to under-promote our alums currently making major contributions in the National Football League, but we will do our best not to ignore their contributions.
Jerricho Cotchery has proven that he is good for at least three or four bigtime highlights each year, and last night’s catch on national television against the Patriots ranks right up there with the best of them. J-Co undoubtedly deserves the praise and pay that he receives.

Man that was sick.
I like everything about that except for having to hear Chris Collinsworth.
That’s some serious focus by J-C’o in that catch. Man, if we are to all put that kind of focus and make that kind of effort . . . .
It was sweet last night watching the VT/U game and hearing the ESPN coments on the Farve to J-C’o passes.
I think I liked it because I new all the tar holes were wathcing the game.
12 points from J-Co for my fantasy team last night!
It was an awesome catch. It almost got overshadowed by the fact J-Co fumbled the ball late in the game, turning the ball over to Pats. An exciting game to watch having always been a Favre fan.

NC State neither promotes nor under-promotes it’s alums in the NFL rightly so IMO. The participating alums in the NFL are acknowledged in the Wolfpacker, a (PRIVATE) publication for promotion of NCSU athletics (with no formal connection to the University).
SFN..the rest of this post deleted for quality assurance…and just because we feel like it…
Greywolf is Lee Fowler.
Grey, I normally agree with much of what you post, but I think you are wrong here. We do NOT do a good job of promoting our pros, and frankly this hurts us.
We need to be all about “yes, HS recruits, you too can be in the NFL as a result of playing at NC State”.
J-Co sure bailed out the Gunslinger with that one. That wasn’t a pass, that was a jump ball.
If you just listened to the announcers without seeing the play you’d never know that an incredible catch was made. Who was calling it? Ben Stein? Anyone, anyone? And he made a nice one-handed…anyone, anyone? Catch.
Very true Russia…the announcers really stunk that up…that was the most amazing catch I have seen all season and possibly beyond. I think they were just in so much shock that they didn’t realize he really caught it until the moment had passed. Either that or they are just retards.
The clip was on the local news this evening where IMNSHO it should be.
Most, if not all, universities “under-promote” alums currently making major contributions in the National Football League. This is not to slight those alums but to discourage high school athletes thinking of college football as a stepping stone to the NFL. Whoever said thst we should promote the notion of recruits coming to NCSU as access to the NFL, needs a reality check. TOB is promoting NCSU athletes being champions in the classroom, in the community and on the field, not NCSU being a football factory. I just think SFN is off taking NC State to task for being remiss in promoting NFL “plays of the week.”
Will this post get deleted for quality assurance and because somebody feels like it? We shall see. Stay tuned.

“Greywolf is Lee Fowler.”
No need to get nasty and call people names, Scooter.
