’06 Recruiting: Heels Land Top PG, Pack Misses on PG Target, Get Verbal from Ashbury Park Player of the Year
Busy day in ’06 basketball recruting yesterday.
UNC landed the top PG in the 2006 class. Tywon Lawson is the top PG in the 2006 class. UNC gets another stud from Oak Hill Academy.
The Pack’s main point guard target Edgar Sosa picked Rick Pitino and the Louisville Cardinals, without even visiting NC State. Sosa commented that it was tough picking Louisville over UConn.
Finally, NC State did get a commitment from the 2005 Asbury Park Press Player of the Year, Dan Werner. Werner head coach described him as a “system player”.
