= > State now posts a pitiful to 2-4 record in the ACC and is 12-7 overall despite playing at the two newcomers in the ACC (Miami & Virginia Tech) and hosting Florida State, Georgia Tech (without BJ Elder) and Duke (without Shavlik Randolph and Reggie Love)

= > Florida State had previously lost 26 consecutive road games in the Atlantic Coast Conference. FSU’s last win in a league game on the road was against Clemson in Death Valley on March 3, 2001. Clemson has since fired the coach that was on the sidelines for that game.

= > Florida State had lost 12 consecutive match-ups with the Wolfpack. The Noles last win vs State was January 23, 1999. Florida State has since fired the coach that was on the sidelines for that game.

= > Florida State had not won in the State of North Carolina since 1999. Florida State, Wake Forest, and North Carolina have all since “fired” their coaches (Carolina x2) since the last FSU win in the State of NC.

= > NC State has not won back-to-back games in the year 2005.

= > Going into the game, NC State was ranked #94 in the RPI. After the loss the Pack was back down to #116.

= > Going into the game, Florida State was ranked #123 in the RPI. The win pushed them to #99.
