Am I crazy or are they getting that out of bounds call wrong? The Zag player is already out, so essentially he’s like a chair or any other “out” object, right? I’ve seen that call numerous times in the tourney.

That was always my understanding as well Ply. Have seen it called the other way multiple times this season tho.

If you are inbouding the ball, and you hit it off the defender and it comes back at you, that’s a turnover. Same principle.

Just found the NBA rule, I’m assuming that the NCAA is the same. That’s the right call. If the ball hits anything other than a player, it’s out on whoever touched it last. If it hits a player who is out, it’s “out” on that player. I learn something new every day. Still doesn’t seem logical though.
