If any media outlet honestly reports the results, I Predict Thorpe pulls a Davis and says he was lied to and knew nothing. Goodbye Baddour and Davis!

I have read some of the emails released that wralsportsfan has posted.

The most interesting and, I think, the most incriminating is the reply from Erskine Bowles to Holden Thorpe about an attached email.

In the email, from a person who says she/he is a big UNC fan and whose children went to UNC, the writer lays out the most obvious scenarios relating to the agent compensation part of the scandal and the tutor part.

The UNC fan surmises that it would be practically impossible for Butch Davis NOT to be aware of the potential for John Blake to be highly involved with NFL agent Gary Whichard. Citing quotes from S. Spurrier and former Oklahoma football players who played at OU when Blake was head coach the writer makes the logical point that any college football coach across the country could not be actively involved in his profession without knowing that Blake had the reputation of agent involvement.

On the tutor “prong” again the UNC fan intelligently postulates that it would be highly improbable in their mind for Butch Davis to have hired the tutor who wrote papers for UNC athletes without the tutor never commenting to Davis that UNC had terminated her from her tutor duties.
Furthermore the UNC writer/fan logically concludes that even if Davis was not there when his son was supposedly being tutored that Davis’ wife would have been home and likely would have learned that the tutor was fired by UNC. One thing for sure is that the football coach’s wife would surely comment to her husband about the news that the tutor schooling their child ,and at one time football players, had been fired by UNC.

Finally the writer suggests not firing Davis because UNC would lose financial support for the Kenan Stadium expansion from those UNC fans only interested in wins and not student education. Instead they suggest taking his additional $291,000 he received to NOT go to Arkansas and only pay that back to Davis if football players academic performance improves with THEIR OWN work.

All of this is to say the short, terse and significantly revealing response from Erskine Bowles to Holden Thorpe upon reading this UNC fan’s comments was “Not to far off”.

That reads to me that Bowles not only agrees with the solution but also acknowledges the logical fact that Davis knew what Blake was up to in regards to agent involvement and that Davis knew he was continuing employment for the tutor since she was fired by UNC.

That email could be a smoking gun in my opinion. I hope it was fully loaded in the eyes of the NCAA.

Well over 300 parking tickets in a 3.5 year period issued to just 11 players…

Wait. Even Erskine doesn’t know the difference between to, two, and too?

    Good gracious almighty.

I know this is TOTALLY OFF LIMITS, but wouldn’t it be interesting to see how often the THUGS of unx actually go to class? I bet these tickets were issued on the only days of attendance.

unc is a JOKE, the ENTIRE ADMINISTRATION, BOG, AND THE ACC COMMISSIONER!

On one of TOS, posters are running the license plates and one reported that most of the plates are not registered with football players.
