For the second time in three years, N.C. State’s women’s golf team will play for the NCAA championship.

The Wolfpack finished tied for third in the East Regional on Saturday in Tallahassee, Fla. with a team score of 280.

N.C. State tied with perennial power Duke for third and qualified for the 24-team NCAA field in Tulsa, Okla. on May 20. Coach Page Marsh also led the Pack to the NCAA championship round in 2012.

Augusta James (5-under) finished tied for fourth in the regional field. James, Brittany Marchand and Lindsay McGetrick each shot a 69 on Saturday. As a team, the Wolfpack finished 8-under on Saturday.

“Our players were determined,” Marsh said. “I am so proud of them. I have had such great support and am grateful for all that has been done by so many to help make this opportunity for us.”

N.C. State, Duke and Virginia are the only three ACC teams to advance to the final. Campbell will also play in the championship round. All four teams advanced out of the East Regional.
